The initial settings of the oscilloscope can be set using the following parameters.

Parameters

Parameter Description
VERT

Specify the settings for the Y axis. The format is as follows:

<Mode Select> <CH1 Volts/div> <CH1 Position> <CH2 Volts/div> <CH2 Position> [CH1 Input Select] [CH2 Input Select]

For values of "Mode Select" and "Input Select" refer to the respective tables.

HORZ

Specify the settings for the time base on X axis. The format is as follows:

<Time/Div> <Position> [X10]

With X10 the display will be expanded in X direction.

TRIG

Specify the trigger parameters. The format is as follows:

<Trigger Select> <Trigger Source> <Level> <Trigger Slope>

For values of "Trigger Mode", "Trigger Source" and "Trigger Slope" refer to the respective tables.

MATH Specify the expression for the MATH mode. The following three variables are defined, corresponding to the three oscilloscope inputs: CH1, CH2 and EXT.

Mode Select Table

Value Description
CH1 Activates the channel 1 (CH 1) input.
CH2 Activates the channel 2 (CH 2) input.
DUAL Selects dual channel operation.
CH1+CH2 Selects the add mode CH1 + CH2.
CH1-CH2 Selects the subtract mode CH1 - CH2.
CH2-CH1 Selects the subtract mode CH2 - CH1.
CH1*CH2 Selects the multiply mode CH1 * CH2.
XY Selects the XY mode.
MATH Selects the MATH mode. The mathematical expression must be specified in the MATH parameter.

Input Select Table

Value Description
AC Selects AC coupling.
DC Selects DC coupling.
GND Disconnects the input of channel and connects it to ground.

Trigger Select Table

Value Description
AUTO Selects automatic (AUTO) triggering.
NORM Selects normal (NORM) triggering.
SCAN Selects scansion (SCAN).

Trigger Source Table

Value Description
CH1 Selects channel 1 as the trigger source.
CH2 Selects channel 2 as the trigger source.
EXT Selects the external input as the trigger source.
MATH Select the result of the mathematical expression as the trigger source.

Trigger Slope Table

Value Description
POS Selects the positive signal slope.
NEG Selects the negative signal slope.
