The switch is a resistor that varies its resistance value depending on the position of the selector of the switch.

The switch is not quite ideal, in that the resistance can not change from 0 to infinity, but must always have a finite positive value. By proper selection of the RESON and RESOFF resistances, they can be effectively zero and infinity in comparison to other circuit elements.

During the interactive simulation the position of the switch can be changed by clicking on it with the mouse.

The animated LED is a light emitting diode whose color changes depending on the current or voltage. The LED can be modeled using a diode or a resistor.

Parameters

Parameter Description Units Default
RESON On resistance. Ohms 10mΩ
RESOFF Off resistance. Ohms 1GΩ
TSWITCH Switching time. Within the specified time, the resistance value varies continuously between the current value and the new value. Must be greater than zero. s 1ms
MODEL This parameter specifies the LED model. See LED Model for information about model parameters.
COLOR This parameter allows you to specify one of the predefined colors: RED, ORANGE, YELLOW, GREEN, BLUE, WHITE, LCD. Default = RED.
POWER_NODE Digital power node name. Is the node used by the interface subcircuits which connect analog nodes to digital nodes. This parameter is optional and must be specified only if the LED is simulated in digital mode.   $G_DPWR
GROUND_NODE Digital ground node name. Is the node used by the interface subcircuits which connect analog nodes to digital nodes. This parameter is optional and must be specified only if the LED is simulated in digital mode.   $G_DGND
