Hotspot objects must be used to specify the point of insertion (or origin) of symbols and footprints. If the insertion point is not specified, it will be equal to the center of the graphic symbols and footprints and to the coordinate of the first pin for the electrical symbols.
To add a hotspot

Choose the Library » Hotspot command or click on the tool
in the toolbar.

Place the object and click to place it.
Commands and options
To repeat the command press the SPACEBAR.
To close the instrument without adding the object press ESC.
To open the dialog box where you can specify the coordinates, press the INS key.
