PCB statistics

Displays a window with some PCB information.

To view PCB information

  1. Choose the command PCB » Reports » Board statistics or click on the tool in the toolbar.

Bill of material

A report can be generated with the list of components present on the PCB. The format of the report and the type of information reported can be decided by the user using the report templates.

SuggerimentoTip:

You can create or edit a report template in the Report template dialog box.

To generate the component list

  1. Choose the PCB » Reports » Bill of Material command or click on the tool in the toolbar. The Bill of materials (PCB) dialog opens.

  2. In the dialog box choose the report template and click the Ok button.

List of tracks

This command generates a text document with the list of all copper areas in contact with the pins of the components.

To generate the track list

  1. Choose the PCB » Reports » Build track list command or click on the tool in the toolbar. The track list is created in a text file in the AutoGen folder.

Netlist

A connection is the list of all the pins that are connected together. A netlist file is a text file that contains all the components and connections in the schematic. The type of information in the file and its arrangement depends on the format chosen.

To generate the netlist

  1. Choose the PCB » Reports » Build netlist from PCB command or click on the tool in the toolbar. The Build Netlist dialog box appears.

  2. In the dialog box choose the format of the netlist and click on Ok. The netlist is created in a text document inside the AutoGen folder. To generate the netlist in an external file, activate the corresponding option in the Build netlist. dialog box.

La netlist viene prima generata internamente in un formato standard e poi convertita, tramite appositi filtri di conversione, nel formato selezionato. Alcuni di questi filtri sono forniti con il programma, altri possono essere facilmente realizzati utilizzando il linguaggio di programmazione delle macro.
