The header line is an area at the top edge of pages while the footer is an area at the bottom edge. The header and footer can be separated from the text by a line of separation and can contain a line of text.
To insert a header

Choose the Format » Page » Header command.
In the Header dialog box, specify the text to be displayed in the header line.
To insert a footer

Choose the Format » Page » Footer command.
In the Footer dialog box, specify the text to be displayed in the line at the bottom of the page.
