With the arrangement along a path, a series defined by a path is created along which the selected object is replicat

AttenzioneWarning:

In serial duplication of objects it is very important to specify the coordinates of the point to be considered as the origin of the whole selection, initially set at the center of the selection rectangle. The arrangement of objects based on the type of distribution chosen is relative to the origin of the selection. Vedere Selection Transformation Center.

Number of copies

The number of copies can be specified either directly or indirectly by indicating the distance between the objects. You must set the box Specify the distance between objects:

  • If the box is checked, the distance between objects must be specified. The distance is calculated from the point of origin of the objects. The number of objects will be determined by the length of the path between the start and end points.

  • If the box is not selected, the number of objects to be created must be specified directly. The objects will be arranged so as to fill the entire length of the path between the start and end points.

Path

The name of the object defining the path must be specified in this box. The path must be defined by an object of type Shape which must have been given the specified name.

Transformations

It is possible to make transformations on the objects that make up the series by specifying both the scale factor and the rotation angle.

Horizontal and Vertical Scale

Specify the scaling factor between one copy and the next. 100% indicates that all copies will be equal. 110% indicates that each copy will be 10% larger than the previous one. 90% indicates that each copy will be 10% smaller than the previous one.

Objects rotation angle

Specify the rotation angle between an object and the next in the series.

Name

You can assign a name to each object in the series. The full name consists of a fixed part and a variable index. In this box the fixed part of the name must be specified using the '%' character to indicate the position in which to insert the index. The index is appended to the name if its position is not specified. If this box is empty, no name will be assigned.

Index

The full name assigned to each object in the series consists of a fixed part and a variable index. In this box you can specify the initial value of the index to hang on the name. If the value does not represent a number then the index will be alphabetic instead of numeric. The index value is automatically increased by one, you can specify a different value for the increment by separating it from the index with a comma.
