When you clone an object, you create a copy of an object that is linked to the original. Any changes made to the original object are automatically reflected in the clone. However, changes made to the clone are not automatically reflected in the original.

You can create multiple copies of the same object with a single command. Cloned objects can have a matrix arrangement (in rows and columns), or can be distributed along both a linear and a curvilinear path.

To create a series of clones

  1. Select the objects to clone. Only objects of type Group can be cloned.

  2. Choose the Graphics » Clone » Create series or click the tool in the toolbar. A dialog box opens with a tab for each of the four possible distributions:

  3. To start the duplication of the selected objects, select the tab related to the desired distribution and specify the required parameters then click on the Ok button.
